The 68th Inspector General

LTG Gregory ‘Greg’ Brady assumed responsibility as the 68th Inspector General of the United States Army on March 17, 2025. LTG Brady is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in French. He earned a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Catholic University of America and a Master’s in Military Studies from the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College.

MISSION

Provide impartial, objective, and unbiased advice and oversight to the Army through relevant, timely, and thorough inspections, assistance, investigations, and training to promote and enable stewardship, accountability, integrity, efficiency, good order & discipline, and enhance total Army readiness.

MOTTO

Droit et Avant’ is a French phrase that roughly translates to “Be Right, Then Go Forward.” This encapsulates the ethos of Army Inspectors General, whose only deliverable is truth.
