LTG Donna W. Martin assumed responsibility as The 67th Inspector General of the United States Army Sept. 2, 2021.
LTG Martin is a native of Yorktown, Virginia, and a graduate of Old Dominion University, with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She was commissioned in the Military Police Corps in 1988. LTG Martin holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.

Provide impartial, objective, and unbiased advice and oversight to the Army through relevant, timely, and thorough inspections, assistance, investigations, and training to promote and enable stewardship, accountability, integrity, efficiency, good order & discipline, and enhance total Army readiness.
MOTTO
‘Droit et Avant’ is a French phrase that roughly translates to “Be Right, Then Go Forward.” This encapsulates the ethos of Army Inspectors General, whose only deliverable is truth.
